The art of clueless whining

In response to an FT article by Edward Luce on 25th September 2016, entitled ‘The art of defrauding America’

Dear Reader

I have not chosen a snippet from the article to set the scene for this piece – there was just too much drivel to choose from. Anyone who needs a good laugh (or a good cry) might like to read the whole article.

Over the past year the FT has moved from 'Clinton is good but Trump is evil' to 'Clinton is possibly a bit iffy (allegedly) but don't forget Trump still warrants Weimar references'...and now it seems it has awoken to the stunning realisation that the media is part of the problem...such deep insight and self reflection deserves a prize...maybe one of the house illustrators could draw a star-spangled wok calling a banner-shaped griddle a cooking implement.

FT coverage of this election, along with the majority of the mainstream media, has been as crass and as tawdry as the candidates themselves.

P.S. I am looking forward to settling down on the sofa for the first debate at 2am UK time tomorrow morning - coffee rather than popcorn will be served in our house.  For those of you that do the same I think it'll be entertaining and revealing at the very least. For those who don't, make sure you turn on your bullshit monitor before you read tomorrow morning's papers :-)
