Let’s get something straight: In order to have a real debate; in order to have a real dialogue; in order to make the world a better place tomorrow than it is today, even just a little bit…we have to start by telling the truth about where we are today. And today…

There is no international rules-based order

It’s a lie that politicians tell us to hide their our own treachery: Break every so-called rule, lie about it, and then resurrect the rule again when it is needed it to criticise the other guy. It’s what Orwell called ‘Doublethink’:

“To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just as long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies—all this is indispensably necessary”

I have had it up to my neck with these people.
