First the bad news...

This week has seen a continuation of the US/UK 'positioning' that I warned about in 'Days of Hypocrisy' and in the earlier piece: 'Warning: A false flag chemical attack in Idlib is imminent'. Here is the situation as I see it:

The SAA ground forces are now in position, ready to commence an offensive against the Al-Qaeda forces in control of Idlib. The Russian airforce has been 'softening up' the ground for them by destroying terrorist positions in southern Idlib. The United Nations has repeated its pleas for the United States to co-operate with Russia, Syria and the UN in the setting-up of 'safe corridors' for the civilian population to leave the conflict zone.

The US, in response has continued to blather about the 'evil dictator' who is threatening 3 million civilians with annihilation. Just a year ago the US admitted that Idlib was an Al-Qaeda stronghold which must be dealt with...now it wants to protect the terrorists. The 'reason' for this is simple - the US does not want its hired assassins falling into Russian hands; it does not want them returned to their points of origin in Saudi Arabia etc; it does not want to lose its 'investment'; but most of all, in my assessment, it is signalling them to carry out a false flag chemical attack to 'justify' a massive bombing campaign. In short, whilst the US has all but lost this war...it will not go quietly into the light.

The hysterical noises coming out of the US have been predictable. Here is the US Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, who together with her 'ideological' boss, Benjamin Netanyahu, has clearly managed to get her clueless 'nominal' boss, President Trump, on board:

Meanwhile on the Eastern shore of the pond, the demonisation of Russia kicked into gear again, just as it did in March when Theresa May lost no time in blaming the Russians for the attack on the Skripals, which if you recall, happened one week prior to the 'chemical attack' in Douma...and the subsequent US airstrikes.

She appeared again on Wednesday with 'evidence' proving that the Salisbury assailants were Russian spies working for the GRU. Never mind that this was not mentioned by the Met...or the other glaring holes in the story...the PM was certain. The only thing of which I am certain is that Theresa May's role in life has no need for 'truth' if it gets in the way of 'power'.

For a description of the 'holes' in her 'assessment', go to the site of the former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, the guy who blew the whistle on our complicity with CIA torture, Craig Murray:

The following day, Thursday, saw our UK Ambassador to the UN, Karen Pierce, presenting our account to the Security Council:

Some of the commentary on Twitter about this was hilarious. One guy remarked:

"Two 'Russian intelligence agents' flew from Moscow, walked under hundreds of cameras. smeared Novichok on a door handle, carelessly threw away the nerve agent for easy identification, and then flew back to Moscow. Directly. Worst secret agents ever."

This was picked up by Ben Nimmo, an 'analyst' who works for the Atlantic Council, who remarked that 'perhaps, you know, they were overconfident'. My personal contribution to the conversation was to draw attention to his funding and...perhaps, you know, how that might effect his thinking:

Where are we now? The conditions are in place for Al-Qaeda, via its Oscar winning film crew, the White Helmets, to stage a chemical attack in Idlib, which will be immediately blamed, without any independent evidence, on the Syrians and the Russians...serving as justification for a US military strike. This is far more dangerous now than it was in Douma. The Americans, the British, and no doubt the French, will be playing dice with a nuclear power.

Point number four - 'Trump needs a big distraction', refers of course to the 'anonymous' op-ed in the New York Times this week, which paints a picture of White House staff who are a hair's breadth away from open rebellion, perhaps by evoking the 25th Amendment. Nothing is more appealing to a US President under siege than bombing the crap out of 'the evil man', whoever 'the evil man' happens to be at the time.

Do I KNOW this is going to happen? No, I am not Gypsy Rose-Lee. Nikki Haley is however, and here she is telling everyone that Assad is about to use chemical weapons:

This picture is taken from an article by Caitlin Johnstone, one of my favourite writers. You can read it here, along with a short video clip of Gypsy Rose-Lee offering her assessment:

As ever, read it, watch it, think about it...and come to your own conclusions. I have offered you mine - they are dark ones. We are dealing with very 'dark' minds. The ONLY thing between these people and a war crimes commission is that we, in the west, find it very easy to believe the most horrendous things of our 'enemies', but cannot bring ourselves to believe that we are capable of such things. We have forgotten that we started a war in Iraq on false evidence. We have forgotten that the Vietnam War was started on a false flag at the Gulf Of Tonkin. We have forgotten that the US used napalm against the Vietnamese. We have forgotten about Abu Graib and Gitmo. We have forgotten about the lies used to justify the bombing of Libya, against our promises to the UN.

Well I haven't.

What's the good news? The good news is that the propagandists in Washington & Whitehall are becoming desperate. That is what is behind the clamping down of dissent on internet platforms like Facebook and Twitter, and that is what is behind the demonisation of figures like Jeremy Corbyn - they are losing control of the narrative...and without the power to control belief there is no control of behaviour...or events.

I believe, because I choose to believe, that the US/NATO 'Empire of Lies'* will inevitably collapse...as they all do...and that justice will have its day. I hope I'm around to see it.
